Although you may not catch their upcoming appearance at CREAM IIBZA this summer, we here at VANDIT are giving you their next best thing! As two of the biggest rising stars in the industry, renowned DJ’s and producers Filo and Peri need little introduction. With a massive following and a staggering number of hits from Shine On and Anthem to their latest track Drops of Jupiter, these boys have mastered the art of anthemic trance with a heavy dose of New York City attitude. And like with any good story, to tell too much is to spoil the plot, but take our word for it, this is just the beginning! Still buzzing from their stellar remix For an Angel 2009, which reinvisions one of dance music’s most iconic tracks by the legendary Paul van Dyk, this talented duo is serving up a perfect blend of sonic perfection to help kick start your summer and keep you rocking long after the suntan fades.
Starting off with one of Scottish native Kuffdam’s biggest releases to date, Burning Up, this blisteringly hot Mango remix smoothly picks up the pace, building slowly as soft crescendos rise and fall with each beat. Next up, Starchaser ft. Lo-Fi Sugar weaves a dreamy web with Heather Pollock’s angelic voice and gorgeous melodies. Soft, emotional and resonant, this Martin Roth mix truly sets the tone as the intensity builds. Blending perfectly into the next track Filo and Peri bring on yet another dose of trance bliss. The stunning Menno de Jong remix of Alex M.O.R.P.H’s beautiful trancer No Regrets is definitely a highlight, seamlessly fading into another selection from Alex’s recent album with the Hornblad remix of Photograph.
Stepping back from the vocals momentarily, Adam Kancerski’s Who’s in Charge is next up on the list and yet again, Filo and Peri’s keen ear for gorgeous music is dead on the mark. As for beautiful music, it would be a crime to leave out some of the brightest stars in their own musical constellation and Light @ The End of The Tunnel is definitely a tour de force of energetic melodies and throbbing basslines. Rounding out the last third comes the Stoneface & Terminal mix of Oceana with Always, and Reverse with Distant Destiny. And we gotta admit that this pair play perfectly together. Hard hitting yet melodic, these set the stage as Filo and Peri press into their new hot single Drops of Jupiter. With stadium worthy sound and enough energy to light up NYC on the darkest night, by the time they drop down into Public Domain’s Vibrations, this gritty, rocking finale is just what the doctor ordered!
Showcasing yet again why these boys are at the top of their game, we know that you won’t be satisfied with just one spin of this gorgeous dance masterpiece. So take our advice and get your summer started right, we guarantee your vacation won’t be the same without it!
